Ways to Join Security Service - Colorado

Family or Household Members

*Immediate family members are defined as:

  • Spouse

  • Step and adoptive relationships

Household is defined as "persons living in the same residence and who maintain a single economic unit." This includes any person who is a permanent member of or helps maintain the household.

Military or Department of Defense

Members of the U.S. Armed Forces, active or retired, or their dependents or dependent survivors or civilian employees of the Department of Defense or their dependents or dependent survivors, who are eligible by law or regulations to receive and are receiving benefits or services from Fort Carson, Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Department of Defense stationed in Cakmakli, Ismir, Karamursel, Sinop, Ankara, Incirlik, or Pirincilik, Turkey.

**Members of Consumer United Association (CUA) who qualify for membership. To join Consumer United Association individuals must have a permanent Colorado address.

SPANISH SPEAKING CATHOLICS IN COLORADO

Residing in the Denver, Colorado Metro Area comprised of Adams, Arapahoe, Broomfield, Clear Creek, Denver, Douglas, Elbert, Gilpin, Jefferson, or Park Counties.

CATHOLIC CHURCHES IN COLORADO

Employees, Students, Members, Clergy, and Volunteers of the following Catholic Schools, Churches, and organizations located in Adams, Arapahoe, Broomfield, Clear Creek, Denver, Douglas, Elbert, Gilpin, Jefferson, or Park Counties, Colorado.

**To qualify under this FOM Code, individuals must first join the CUA Association; possess a valid Colorado driver’s license, and a permanent Colorado address. A $5.00 fee is required to become a member of CUA. To join, log on to the CUA website. Select the "Join Credit Union Member" and select SSFCU. Then, click on Submit. Once processed, write the membership ID# in the Qualification of Membership space provided next to the FOM code. (Example: Field of Membership Code 855 #12345.) This must be recorded to open the account. (For Member Service - Collect $5 from the member and credit RC# 9000 GL #2042975 listing the Membership ID# and the member's last name. A copy of the MR is to be given to the member for their records.)
