Account Options

From automatic transfers to overdraft coverage, we offer convenient automated services to make your banking experience easy and secure.


ACH provides you the ability to have your mortgage, loan, or credit card payment automatically drawn each month from a non-Security Service account.

Automatic Transfer Service

Our Automatic Transfer Service, or Auto Debit, gives you the ability to transfer funds between your Security Service accounts automatically — just choose the day and amount you wish to transfer.

Bill Pay

Manage payee information, schedule recurring payments, and pay bills all with the click of a button.

Direct Deposit

Save a trip to the credit union by having your check deposited directly to your Security Service account.

Order Checks

If you are ordering checks for the first time, please call 1.800.229.0158 for assistance.

To re-order checks:

After you’ve placed your order, your account will be debited for the cost of your checks.

Overdraft Coverage

An overdraft occurs when you do not have enough money in your account to cover a transaction, but Security Service pays it anyway.

Member Overdraft PrivilegeTM

Member Overdraft Privilege is automatically provided to cover non-sufficient funds transactions caused by checks and ACH transactions (To opt out, contact the Member Contact Center at 1.888.617.7328).

Qualifying personal checking accounts that have been open 90 days and are in good standing are eligible with the following limitations:
  • Transactions exceeding available balance will be paid out up to $1,000
  • In addition to the balance owed, a $27.50 NSF/OD fee will be assessed for each item covered by this service

Coverage on ATM & One-Time Debit Card Transactions
As a member of Security Service, we provide discretionary overdraft coverage for checks, ACH transactions, and recurring debit card transactions (e.g., monthly automatic payments for rent or tuition).  

If you would like overdraft coverage on ATM and one-time debit card transactions (e.g., paying for gas or making an online purchase), please log into myBranch Online Banking and Opt In or call 1.888.617.7328 for assistance.
Important: If you do not opt in and have insufficient funds, transactions will be rejected.

Additional Overdraft Coverage Options


Coverage Tied to a Line of Credit (PrimeLine) Account1

  • Can be used to cover overdrafts or as needed
  • Will transfer funds in $100 increments up to the available credit limit

To set up coverage, call the Member Contact Center at 1.888.617.7328.

Coverage Tied to a Savings Account

  • Can be connected to your checking account to cover items that exceed your available balance
  • Your saving account must have enough money to cover all items clearing your account beyond the $5 minimum balance
  • No fees for the first 3 overdraft transfers per month, additional transfers will each incur a $2 fee
