Tip 1: Communication is Key  – Make sure your insurance company is in contact with Security Service as soon as your vehicle is deemed a total loss.

Tip 2: Don't Forget Gap – If you have purchased GAP coverage, be certain to follow up with your GAP coverage provider to ensure they have all the information to file your claim. Sign and return all requested documents.

 

Tip 3: File Paperwork Promptly – Provide all information in a timely manner to expediate your claim. Sign your name exactly as it appears on your vehicle title and return all requested information. Be sure to keep a copy of everything you send.

 

Tip 4: Follow Up – Follow up with your insurance company to confirm they are processing your claim and there are no issues.

A missed call or detail on a form could delay a claim another day or two. Constant contact with your insurance agent is key to quickly identifying roadblocks and speeding up the process.
