For consumer accounts, federal regulation requires that we obtain your prior authorization (‘opt-in’) for overdraft coverage of ATM and one-time/everyday debit card transactions. Your authorization for this coverage may be obtained at account opening, by contacting our automated overdraft line at 1-888-617-7328 or updating your coverage in online banking.

To change the overdraft coverage on ATM and one-time/everyday debit card transactions, you can contact our automated overdraft line at 1-888-617-7328 or follow the directions below:

  • Log in to Security Service online banking
  • Click on Accounts in the main menu, then select Overdraft Coverage, and click Overdraft Transaction Coverage.
  • Click Edit on the appropriate account

Note: Opting out of ATM and one-time/everyday debit card coverage will not prevent checks, ACH, or recurring debit card transactions from making the account negative when they exceed Available Balance. To opt out of all overdraft coverage, please contact the Member Contact Center at 1-800-527-7328 or visit your local branch.
