Cash Alternatives
Sometimes carrying cash or cards isn't your safest option. We offer cash equivalents that can help you travel or mail money safely.
Mobile Wallets
With just a few taps on your tablet, smartphone or Apple device, you can securely connect your Security Service credit or debit cards to your mobile device and use it to pay for your purchases.
Security Service supports the following digital payment solutions:
- Apple Pay
- Samsung Pay
- Google Pay (formerly Android Pay)
- Masterpass Digital Wallet
- Microsoft Wallet
- Fitbit Pay
- Garmin Pay
Traveler's Express Money Orders
You can write these money orders in amounts up to $1,000 to whomever you choose, and 100 percent of the value will be replaced if the money order is lost or stolen. This is an easy payment method for members who prefer not to send personal checks.
Fees: $2 for each money order
Official Checks
Issued by Traveler's Express, these are the official checks of Security Service. They must be made payable to a person, business, or estate. When required, a stop-payment can be placed if the check is lost or stolen.
Fees:
- $5 for each check purchased
- $10 when a check drawn from a Security Service account is converted to an Official check for a non-member
- $5 for a stop-payment
U.S. Savings Bonds
