SECURITY SERVICE CHARITABLE FOUNDATION DONATES $5,000 TO TEXAS DIAPER BANK

Funds will supply 25,000 diapers to families in need

(SAN ANTONIO, TX – MAY 18, 2023) –– The Security Service Charitable Foundation donated $5,000 to Texas Diaper Bank of San Antonio, Texas. This donation will be used to provide 25,000 diapers to families in need.

“Diapers are a basic necessity for babies and young children, but it’s not always easy for families to purchase them on their own,” said Jorge Medina, CEO for Texas Diaper Bank. “Donations like this from the Security Service Charitable Foundation make a world of difference to our families in need.”

Last year, Texas Diaper Bank distributed nearly 2 million diapers and 750,000 baby wipes in addition to growing support for other programs.

“Texas Diaper Bank is a great resource for families and individuals who need extra help with these everyday essentials for their babies,” said Brandy Ralston-Lint, senior vice president of community and media relations for Security Service Federal Credit Union. “We are happy to help provide these basic needs.”

Texas Diaper Bank addresses the diaper gap and its impact on individuals in crisis. The diaper gap is the lack of access to an adequate supply of diapers and other healthcare products impacting physical health, mental health, and self-sufficiency of low-income families.

The Security Service Charitable Foundation helps further Security Service Federal Credit Union’s corporate goal of community service by contributing to deserving organizations and causes in the credit union's market areas.
