SECURITY SERVICE CHARITABLE FOUNDATION DONATES $2,500 TO GOLFERS FORE OTHERS

Helping Boerne homeowners receive essential home repairs

(BOERNE, TX – APRIL 19, 2023) –– The Security Service Charitable Foundation donated $2,500 to Golfers Fore Others of Boerne, Texas. This donation will be used to purchase supplies for home repairs for those in need.

“The cost of building materials dramatically increased in 2022, making many projects nearly double or triple in cost,” said Fred Martin, founder for Golfers Fore Others. “This donation from the Security Service Charitable Foundation will allow us to buy the materials needed to complete these projects for our community.”

The Security Service Charitable Foundation’s donation can be used for a variety of projects including providing floor repair and new flooring, bathroom renovations, and building a wheelchair ramp. The organization assists homeowners in getting work done that they need, free of charge, allowing them to remain in their homes.

“Golfers Fore Others helps out the Boerne community tremendously by providing free home repairs that are necessary to improve the standard of living,” said Brandy Ralston-Lint, senior vice president of community and media relations for Security Service Federal Credit Union. “We proudly support this organization because its services are crucial in helping individuals live in a better home.”

Golfers Fore Others is a group of retired volunteers who provide free home repairs to needy families in the Boerne area. More than 800 projects have been completed since the group formed in 2001.

The Security Service Charitable Foundation helps further Security Service Federal Credit Union’s corporate goal of community service by contributing to deserving organizations and causes in the credit union's market areas.
