The best place to start your search is your own public library.

The reference section should include books of companies and foundations offering scholarships. If the library doesn't have this type of resource, inquire whether you could get it through interlibrary loan.

Watch Out for Scams!

If you have to pay to get money, it might be a scam. Watch out for companies with official-sounding names that ask for a fee up-front. Here are some links to sites with information about these types of scams.

Student Aid Incorporated - Ads in college newspapers; up-front fee.
