General Program Details:

  • Eligibility is restricted to Security Service Federal Credit Union’s members whose accounts are in good standing.
  • A monthly program fee of $1.50 will be automatically charged to the cardholder’s account unless cardholder notifies Security Service FCU of cancellation.
  • The Member Checking Rewards program and benefits are offered at the sole discretion of Security Service FCU.
  • Security Service FCU reserves the right to cancel, change or temporarily suspend the Member Checking Rewards program at any time without notice.
  • Cancellation, change or suspension of the program could result in the forfeiture of earned points and a change in the redemption of any outstanding rewards.
  • Airline tickets and travel rewards packages, merchandise and gift certificates are subject to availability and certain restrictions apply.
  • The program is void where prohibited by federal, state or local law.
  • In the event of fraud or abuse of the program privileges or violation of program rules (including any attempt to sell, exchange or otherwise transfer points or any instrument exchangeable for Member Checking Rewards), Security Service FCU reserves the right to cancel membership in the Member Checking Rewards program.
  • Every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is accurate. Security Service FCU is not responsible for errors or omissions.
  • Should Security Service FCU decide to terminate the program, and accepting and using program rewards, the cardholder or any other beneficiary of program rewards release, discharge, and hold harmless Security Service Federal Credit Union, MasterCard, the program administrator, and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, employees, officers, directors, successors and assigns from all claims, damages or liability including but not limited to physical injury or death, arising out of participation in the program.
  • The cardholder is responsible for any personal tax liability related to participation in the program or as a result of points earned and/or redeemed.
  • Cardholder is responsible for payment of any Passenger Facility Charges, air segment taxes, departure taxes, customs fees, security fees, excess baggage charges or any other charges assessed by governmental entities as a result of travel under this program.
  • Neither Security Service FCU, MasterCard, nor any other entity associated with Member Checking Rewards have any liability arising from, or related to, such rewards program.
  • If a cardholder is denied a benefit of the program to which he or she is entitled, liability of Security Service FCU shall be limited to the cardholder’s earned portion of that benefit.
  • Security Service FCU shall not be responsible for any cardholder correspondence that is lost or delayed in the mail.
  • All questions regarding the accrual of points (or coupons) or the conversion of points (or coupons) into rewards, shall be resolved by Security Service FCU.
  • If cardholder voluntarily cancels enrollment in the program, all points/coupons not yet converted to rewards shall be forfeited.
  • The terms of this program are void where prohibited by law.
  • Member Checking Rewards points may not be used with any other discount or coupon offer.

Point Redemption:

  • For updates on reward point balances, cardholders may click on www.mcrewards.net or call the Rewards Redemption Center at 1-888-603-9237, Mon-Fri CST 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Sat-Sun 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
  • Once enrolled in the program, the cardholder will accumulate ONE point for $2 U.S. dollar in net purchases on signature based transactions.
  • Net/qualified purchase is defined as the dollar value of goods and services purchased with the card after the enrollment date, minus any credits, returns or other adjustments as reflected on the monthly account statements.
  • Net/qualified purchases do not include cash advances, balance transfers, traveler’s checks, convenience checks, annual fees, late payment fees, over-limit fees, insurance charges, card-related service charges, finance charges, fees and/or unauthorized charges.
  • If unused, points will expire three years following the time when the points were earned. Maximum point accumulations are 120,000 points per calendar year.
  • Points redeemed and/or expired, if applicable, will be based on a first-in, first-out process.
  • Points earned are not transferable, have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash or used as payment for obligation to Security Service FCU.
  • Points must be redeemed prior to cancellation of participation in the rewards program or points will be forfeited.
  • Point balances not reaching a redemption level will be forfeited upon cancellation of the program.
  • No cash refunds or partial awards will be issued upon redemption of points.
  • Points, rewards, and certificates have no value except as used in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of the program and rewards suppliers.
  • Points are available within seven days from purchase date. Points must be redeemed by the cardholder.

Airline Tickets:

  • Reward points may be redeemed for travel on any U.S. airline for travel between, and within, the 48 contiguous states.
  • Round-trip reward tickets require 30,000 points, and are valid only for travel in Coach or Economy Class; travel must be on the same airline.
  • Reservations must be made 21 days in advance, and a Saturday night stay is required.
  • Minimum or maximum stays apply to certain fare categories.
  • Stopovers are not permitted unless made to connect to another flight, and no more than two connections in each direction may be made.
  • Seats are subject to availability in the advance purchase fare category described here at the time of booking.
  • Tickets will be issued within 24 hours of booking, and delivered by U.S. mail.
  • Next day, Saturday and International deliveries by courier are subject to additional shipping charges.
  • Tickets may be purchased in any name designated by the cardholder.
  • Tickets are non-refundable, and lost, stolen or expired tickets cannot be replaced.
  • Security Service FCU and Member Checking Rewards are not responsible for the performance by the airlines of the ticketed transportation.
  • All reservations and ticketing are subject to the conditions of carriage of the party providing the transportation, including exclusions and limitations of liability.
  • Additional restrictions may apply.

Travel Packages:

  • Holiday blackout dates may apply and will vary by supplier.
  • For availability call the Rewards Redemption Center at 1-888-603-9237.
  • Full payment by points and/or major card is required to confirm all travel reservations.
  • Once points have been debited from your reward account and/or package is paid in full, there is no refund for cancellations or no-shows.
  • Adventure packages and gift certificates are subject to the terms of service set forth by Great American Days (GAD). The GAD rewards do not include any travel or related expenses to participate in the adventure, including but not limited to, airfare, fuel charges, accommodations, travel insurance, accident insurance, shipping/handling, or any other expense to participate in the adventure.
  • Trip cancellation insurance is recommended, and must be purchased at the time of booking travel.
  • Reservations must be made up to 30 days prior to day of departure, subject to availability.
  • For bookings made 29 days or less prior to departure date, a special handling fee of $25 per booking will be assessed.
  • Once a booking has been made, the following change fees will apply and will be billed to cardholder: Days Prior to Departure of 30 days or more will be charged a fee of $15 per change PLUS any applicable travel supplier change fee. Days prior to Departure of 0-29 days will be charged a fee of $25 per change PLUS any applicable travel supplier change fee.
  • Travel documents are the responsibility of the cardholder.
  • The suppliers providing hotel, air, car or sightseeing arrangements are independent contractors and are not agents or employees of Security Service FCU, MasterCard, or any of Security Service FCU’s providers, subcontractors, providers or agents furnishing support or services in connection with the Member Checking Rewards program (collectively “Providers”) or any of its affiliates.
  • All documentation, receipts and tickets are issued subject to the terms and conditions specified by the suppliers.
  • By utilizing the services of these suppliers, you agree the “Providers,” nor any of their affiliates, subsidiaries or representatives shall be liable for any accident, loss, injury or damage to you or those traveling with you in connection with any accommodations, transportation or other services or resulting directly or indirectly from any occurrences or conditions beyond their control, including breakdown of equipment, strikes, theft, cancellations, changes in itineraries, etc.
  • The terms under which you agree to utilize these travel packages cannot be changed or amended.
  • Points must be redeemed by the cardholder, but tickets may be used by another person.
  • By booking one of these packages you acknowledge that in all events, “Providers” shall not be liable for any consequential damages and that the sole extent of our liability shall never exceed the amount actually paid.

Merchandise:

  • All merchandise rewards are subject to availability, and certain restrictions may apply.
  • Security Service FCU may make substitutions of equal or greater value when necessary without notification.
  • Merchandise rewards include applicable sales tax and shipping and handling.
  • Redeemed rewards have no cash value.
  • Rewards are not refundable, not exchangeable, and cannot be used against outstanding cardholder balances.
  • Rewards may not be resold.
  • Returns are only accepted for merchandise that is damaged, defective, or mis-shipped.
  • The manufacturer’s warranty applies to all merchandise rewards offered.
  • Rewards will be sent to the cardholder’s address unless otherwise instructed.
  • Merchandise rewards shipments are the sole responsibility of the cardholder.
  • Delivery of merchandise and gift certificates will be made by ground delivery service or first-class mail.
  • Please allow four to six weeks from time of order.
  • The cardholder will be notified of any delays by postcard, letter, or phone call.
  • Any shipping costs outside the continental United States, including Alaska and Hawaii, as well as international shipping costs will be the sole responsibility of the cardholder.
  • Merchandise shipments cannot be made to a post office box.

Gift Certificates:

  • Gift certificates have no value except when used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the program and participation suppliers.
  • All gift certificates are subject to availability, and certain restrictions may apply.
  • Security Service FCU may make substitutions of equal or greater value when necessary.
  • Gift certificates are not transferable unless otherwise noted on the gift certificate.
  • Adventure packages and gift certificates/cards are subject to the terms of service set forth by Great American Days. The GAD rewards do not include any travel or related expenses to participate in the adventure, including but not limited to, airfare, fuel charges, accommodations, travel insurance, accident insurance, shipping/handling, or any other expense to participate in the adventure.
  • Security Service FCU and participating suppliers are not responsible for replacing lost, stolen, or expired gift certificates.
  • Gift certificate use is subject to the terms and conditions printed thereon.
  • Gift certificates must be surrendered at redemption, are void if altered, and no photocopies of gift certificates will be honored.
  • Gift certificates have no cash value.
  • Gift certificates are not refundable, exchangeable, and cannot be used against outstanding cardholder balances.
  • Gift certificates may not be resold.
  • Gift certificates are valid at participating suppliers only, through the expiration date printed on the gift certificate.
  • Gift certificates may not be combined with any other promotional offers from Security Service FCU or participating suppliers.
  • In the event the goods and services purchased are less than the face value of the gift certificate redeemed, the policy of the supplier will determine whether credit or gift certificate value for the difference will be given.
  • Gift certificates as rewards are void where prohibited by law.
